ABOUT US

Hi! I’m Alex. I’m a mum of two, a wife, and the kind of person who always has a half-finished coffee sitting somewhere in the house.

Before motherhood, my world was technical clothing design. I created garments built for purpose, performance, durability, and tough environments. But after becoming a stay-at-home mum, my entire landscape shifted. Suddenly, I was breastfeeding my youngest, chasing a toddler, and trying to figure out how to feel like me again. In the middle of the snack-fetching, toddler-negotiating, and spit-ups, I realized something vital: mums don't need fancy. We need functional. We need comfortable. We need "I can feed my baby (easily) in this while surviving the day" kind of clothing. But, also I wanted to make it look good.

That is exactly why stepping into Esther & Albie felt like just the perfect next chapter for me. I didn’t get into this to simply run a business; I joined because I believe in purpose-driven design. It allows me to combine my years of technical clothing expertise with the real, unfiltered reality of being a mum.

Motherhood is such a transformative season, and women deserve clothing that actually GETS them. I design our pieces with thoughtful details that make the daily chaos a little easier: breathable fabrics, easy-access for feeding, and shapes that won't cling in the places you don't want them to postpartum!

Also, Esther & Albie isn’t just about the clothing. It’s about community and a connection, a space where mums can cheer each other on. My hope is that when you wear our pieces, you feel supported, seen, and maybe even a little bit unstoppable (even if you haven’t washed your hair in… a while).

Motherhood is wild! Your clothing shouldn’t be. I'm here to make sure of it.

Yours, Alex
